Chicken Asparagus Stir Fry – 1 package frozen vegetable stir fry (I used Asparagus Stir Fry), 1 lb chicken boobs. marinate chicken in soy sauce, cooking sake, and garlic. stir fry chicken until browned, add frozen vegetables, cook until no longer frozen, add marinade from chicken, 1/4c chicken broth, a little salt and a little sugar. mix another 1/4c chicken broth with enough corn starch to thicken the sauce (like 1t?). add to pan and stir, if the sauce is too thick add more chicken broth or water. serve over steamed rice (Serves 4).
Strawberry Poke Cake: 1 box of cake mix and 1 box of jello, in this case both are strawberry flavored but you can pick any combination of flavors/colors. make cake as per box directions and cool for 1 hour. mix jello with 1c boiling water. add 1/2c of cold water. poke holes in the top of the cake with your fingers or a fork or bamboo skewer. pour jello over cake. refridgerate for 2 hours. set the pan in hot water to loosen cake. frost with cool whip (or not at all in this case).
Ling Ling pot stickers are found in most american grocery stores in the freezer section. I'm a big fan because they come with sauce and are made with natural ingredients, minimal processing (unlike the ones you get at the asian markets). Trader Joe's also has some good less processed gyoza/pot stickers.
