wow it's been awhile!  i've been *really* sick (like food made me want to throw up sick), and i had a job with early morning hours so with that combination i wasn't packing lunches.  the few i *did* pack weren't really photo worthy.

 clockwise from upper left compartment: cascos de guayaba con queso (cuban treat – guava shells with cream cheese), pork marinated in bulgogi and broiled, slivered green beans.

bulgogi is a korean bbq sauce.  i used the trader joe's brand and marinated the meat for about 1 full day.  then i broiled the meat.

to make the slivered green beans i just got frozen ones, then boiled in 1/4c water with some salt and sugar and butter/margarine.

i'm going to be making more "american" style bentos but still expect a lot of variety and a few asian tidbits.  probably a few cuban tidbits too cuz that's how we roll.
